“I like all of them.
I have the best shoes, period.
And the worst bag, period.”
– Ivanka Donald Trump to a designer brand employee in New York on March 7, 2017.
Donald Trump, the president’s daughter and senior adviser, took aim at designer brands in a series of tweets on Monday, labeling their bags “baggage” and calling on other brands to step up.
“I love all of the brands,” she wrote in a tweet.
“I have the worst shoes, and the worst bags, period!
If they’re doing well, I’ll support them, but they have to start listening to me and their customers.
I love them!”
Ivanka Trump has made her name in the business world by becoming a fashion icon for her clothing line, but she has also been a fierce critic of her father’s policies.
She has been outspoken in her criticism of her dad’s policies and has said her father is not interested in getting rid of the federal minimum wage, which is $7.25 an hour, or the estate tax, which has been levied on estates of more than $5.49 million for several decades.
The New York City developer has been a vocal critic of President Donald Trump, particularly on the issue of his response to the white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, last month, which left one woman dead and dozens injured.
She also tweeted on Monday that her father would be the first sitting president to attend a “basket of deplorables” event, which she characterized as a group of people who “hate our country and its people”.
Trump also used social media to blast a new ad campaign that she co-created with the Ivanka Trump Foundation, which targets the “worst” consumers.
“The best way to show this is with a new Ivanka Trump brand,” she tweeted.
“We’re launching a new campaign targeting the worst shoppers on social media and the most irresponsible, irresponsible people in the world.”
She also blasted an ad campaign run by American Express that she said was “anti-woman and anti-family”.
The Ivanka Trump branded Ivanka Trump and Co. on the heels of the election and the first inauguration, and is working to expand her brand across the US and abroad, including in Europe, Asia and Australia.
